Inginaire is currently seeking an Quality Inspector for our client in Coon Rapids, MN. The Quality Inspector is responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; and recording quality results.
Duties:
  • Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approve in-process products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating to applicable individuals.
  • Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Conduct and document shop floor audits.
  • Conduct and document dock audits.
  • Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintain calibration of measurement equipment by monitoring and performing calibrations on measurement equipment.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

Requirements:
EDUCATION:
  • High School diploma or GED required. Some college coursework or inspection certifications is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
  • At least 6 months experience carrying out the duties and responsibilities of an Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Surface plate inspection using open setups
  • Manual and automated inspection operations
  • Inspection with various hand tools
  • Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approve in-process products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating to applicable individuals.
