  • Guide technical design activities to ensure design intent is clear and infrastructure impact understood
  • Resolve hardware, operational, infrastructure and application incidents
  • Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolve routine problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability
  • Collaborate with team to promote re-use and develop consistent technical build, implementation and support processes
  • Work with IT management and architects to ensure systems are in line with overall IT policies and standards
  • Apply solutions in support of data management that reflect industry best practices for modular architecture, data security, and data privacy
  • Drive the implementation of next-generation data distribution and consumption capabilities
  • Drive integrations for multiple data management platforms and systems
  • Design and implement enhancements to our platform integration capabilities
  • Assess and help drive adoption of new technologies within the team and across Target
  • Refine and mature our continuous integration pipeline
  • Build prototypes to prove out concepts
About This Opportunity - Development

  • Develop identity management and data management engineering activities for assigned platforms
  • Design, develop and unit test software or implement and test infrastructure components that meet functional and non-functional activities
  • Coordinate the diagnoses, isolation and de-bugging of software and hardware problems and perform problem resolution
  • Ensure adherence to standards and best practices
  • Contribute as a highly productive coder, self-starter and show self-motivation
  • Required Skills:
    1. LDAP/Directory Server engineering including:
      1. Understanding of Enterprise Directory Architecture including directory schema, Resource Provisioning, Role Based Access Control
      1. Experience with one or directory servers such as Active Directory, IBM Directory Server, Sun Directory Server or Apache Directory Server.
    1. Experience with Digital Certificates, PKI, SSL and other related technologies.
    2. Strong Linux or Unix background
  • Preferred Skills:
    1. Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins and Chef
    2. Strong scripting experience for installation on Linux
    1. Experience with Databases (Oracle, Sybase, MSSQL, MySQL)
    2. Experience with Authentication and Authorization concepts
      1. OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SAML
      2. XACML policy language
    3. Relational databases and associated technologies like SQL and data modeling including large or unstructured data sets
    4. Experience with Java template engines like Apache Velocity or Thymeleaf
    5. Experience with Unbound ID and/or Open Stack a plus
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Systems)
  • 5-10 years total work experience
  • 3 or more years of significant LDAP experience
  • Java development experience with REST/Open API Concepts, REST framework, JSON
  • In-depth knowledge of state-of-the art engineering technical approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems as required by domain
  • Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
