PRIMARY FUNCTIONThe Performance Acceleration Lead will work alongside team members from the broader Performance Acceleration Team and the business to develop and manage enterprise programs. The role will be responsible for providing business support in developing individual project portfolios, associated outcomes for measurement, and identifying opportunities to address portfolio gaps to meet overall business objectives. Through their support, they will enable business owners and the enterprise leadership team to successfully execute against the business strategy and outcomesPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the advancement of Target's enterprise management system with individual business partners to execute cross-functional programs
  • Provide analytical support to assess overall health and performance of critical enterprise programs, and their impact to desired business outcomes
  • Drive supporting analysis of gap analysis of projects against financial and operational outcomes
  • Drive measurement development and analytical reporting of financial and operational outcomes
  • Provide analytical support to develop and validate program tactics expected impact on outcomes
  • Develop progress reports, business partner communications, and summaries of analytics in support of program execution
  • Jointly with business partners and the Performance Acceleration team, identify opportunities to drive program impact and provide supporting analytics and design to mature opportunities
  • Support structured problem solving with business partners to close gaps
  • Raise cross-program interdependencies to team leadership and business partners
  • Provides leaders with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting
  • Analyze program metrics and create reports on process performance against outcomes and objectives
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert over the implementation of projects/initiatives across business functions
  • Work with the Director of Performance Acceleration to develop and execute detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates resource plans, and status reports
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required 
JOB REQUIREMENTSMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree including Business or Engineering disciplines
  • 5+ years of work experience in retail or operations
  • Able to use data to influence senior leaders and defend his/her perspective
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems, analyze complex processes, synthesize data and results, and drive toward insight and solutions
  • Strong problem solving and analytic skills including proficiency with Excel
  • Strong written, oral, communication skills including proficiency with PowerPoint
  • Competent in project management; has the ability to manage tight deadlines
  • Passionate about leading change management and applying rigorous program management
  • Strong interpersonal skills (listening and communication) characterized by effective interactions with a diverse range of internal and external constituents, stakeholders, and audiences.
  • Desire to learn new capabilities and enable others to do the same
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Work experience in an influential role (e.g., consultant)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or PMP
