St. Catherine University in St. Paul/Minneapolis is a comprehensive Catholic university with the nation's largest college for women at its center. The Department of Theology invites applicants with expertise in Christian Ethics for an entry level, tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2017, pending budget approval. We seek a teacher- scholar who is committed to graduate and undergraduate teaching, scholarly excellence, and women's theological education.
Responsibilities: Six-course, twenty-four credit teaching load that that will include: courses in a variety of formats (face-to-face, hybrid, online), teaching in the University's interdisciplinary CORE curriculum, teaching health care ethics.
• Required education: Ph.D. in Christian Ethics or in systematic theology with a concentration in ethics, or, ABD. Candidate must have successfully defended dissertation by August 15, 2017.
• Required experience: Demonstrated excellence in teaching in a variety of formats. Familiarity with Catholic health care ethics. Should understand and support the continued development of the Catholic theological tradition and the flourishing of women.
• Preferred: Experience with hybrid and online teaching. Knowledge and appreciation of the Catholic identity of St. Catherine University.
