About This Opportunity

The Business Integration, Automation and Support team designs and creates innovative solutions across a variety of platforms, frameworks and environments. 

  • Engages business to create a shared understanding of business challenge, discusses possible solutions and determines overall scope
  • Develops business applications, reports and automations based on operational needs while iteratively delivering and achieving positive client feedback
  • Understands and ensures all deliverables comply with data handling, storage and sharing guidelines in partnership with Business and Risk & Controls team
  • Partners to support technical impacts with Target Technology Services (TTS) to ensure overall standards are met as enterprise Finance applications are implemented
  • Proactively engages IT-based cross-functional partners (TTS, Product teams, EDABI) to complement team's development practices and evolve technology landscape based on emerging tools

As a Sr. Systems Programmer Analyst, you'll take the lead when you:

  • Identify, recommend and deliver customized automations hand-in-hand with the business
  • Iteratively plan while delivering on all phases of development work
  • Provide project leadership, strong technical direction, and development expertise
  • Identify and coordinate short and long-term technical resolutions for day-to-day issues with clients
  • Represent the Business Integration, Automation and Support team in cross-functional meeting - making technical decisions impacting the team
  • Support department-delivered applications, reports, automations and job streams
  • Promote a paired programming environment to enable learning and maximize productivity

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience developing and improving business processes
  • Experience with a variety of modern programming languages
  • Experience with source code technologies; Git preferred
  • Curiosity to learn agile development processes and methodology; Embrace a work-stream model that is self-directed / self-managed as a team and as individuals 
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities to enable focus on client service
  • Creative problem solving and critical thinking skills with a bias toward action
  • Team player mindset that takes ownership for a collective outcome and helps others along the way

  • Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education

Preferred Experience

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Programming or related experience
  • Five or more years of experience with object-oriented programming that includes understanding of relational databases
  • Three or more years of modern report tool experience; strong practical knowledge of data mining, data analysis and visualization techniques
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to variety of business audiences and technical peers
  • Knowledge of Retail industry and Finance domain experience
