JOIN US AS A LEAD NETWORK SECURITY ENGINEER - CDN WEB APPLICATION FIREWALL (WAF)Join our Security Engineering team and build world class security solutions in support of Target's Information Security and Network Security strategies!  You'll enjoy platform ownership of leading edge technology implementations: designing, maintaining and recommending Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules on our Content Delivery Network (CDN) protection on Target.com, in addition to integrating anti-automation protections to prevent Account Take Over activities.  Secondary responsibilities will include backing up teammates on Web Proxy platforms on premise and in the Cloud, advance persistent threat prevention systems such as FireEye NX and EX, as well as guidance and governance on Network Access Control solutions.  You'll have the opportunity to design, build, and administer these solutions in partnership with our network, compliance, operations, and support teams across the enterprise. As a Lead Network Security Engineer, you'll take the lead as you:
  • Contribute to the design and implement network security capabilities to counter network based threats ensuring architectural and operational requirements are met
  • Utilize standard enterprise tools to develop or implement infrastructure hardware, software or other technical components
  • Resolve hardware, operational, infrastructure and application incidents
  • Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolve problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability
  • Collaborate with Network and Infrastructure teams to develop consistent technical solutions, implementation activities and support processes
  • Lead the design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of platforms, applications and infrastructure servicesRequirements:
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 7 plus years of experience with network security
  • Has in-depth knowledge of network security and security operations, including web proxy design, build and installation experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining firewall infrastructure in an enterprise environment
  • Experience developing in Python, Ruby or BASH Programing
  • Experience in Enterprise Cloud technology integration
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of Content Delivery Networks (CDN) and Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
  • Working knowledge of network security and security operations, including web proxy design, build, and installation experience
  • Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise
  • Stays current with new and evolving technologies via training and self-directed education
