The Goldfish team is looking for a highly driven, experienced Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer who will be responsible for building a vast and scalable BI platform. You will analyze large amounts of data, discover and solve real world problems, build metrics and business cases around key projects and, most of all, be an integral part of creating an innovative online experience that delights Customers.

The successful candidate will be someone who LOVES data, has strong SQL skills, understands best practices in data warehousing and business intelligence, is business savvy, and passionate about customers. The candidate will need to be a self-starter and team player, demonstrate exemplary communication skills and able to think big while paying careful attention to detail.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Closely work with technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL

Design and implement self-service reporting solutions that enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions

Prioritize features and projects based on their relevance

Reactively and proactively develop and execute analyses that provide important insight into the business

Apply best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and robust documentation

Benchmarks industry technology and business intelligence best practices to ensure competitive advantage

Basic Qualifications:

+5 years experience working in BI development including data warehousing, analytics and reporting

Experience with enterprise cloud data warehouse solutions

High proficiency with SQL and Excel

Advanced skills and experience in representing data in a meaningful way using data visualization tools such as Tableau or OBIEE

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to take initiative in a fast-moving environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in an analytical field (e.g. Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance)

Understand the business intelligence framework powering ecommerce and social applications

Experience coding in Python or Perl
