Doherty Top Talent is searching for a Sales Administrative Assistant to join a company that designs, markets and distributes the most popular cake decorations and bakery supplies in the bakery industry. Located in Anoka, MN they sell and distribute their products to supermarkets, retail bakeries, ice cream stores, and directly to consumers throughout North America. 


Seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented, administrative professional with extensive Project Management skills accountable for executing the project activities for the assigned business.  Based out of the corporate office in Anoka, MN and reporting directly to the Sales Manager, the Sales Admin will be accountable for maintaining excellent customer satisfaction levels by assisting the outside Sales Managers in managing projects to support the customer’s needs, along with day-to-day support and follow up to meet the identified growth objectives.


  • Establish effective relationships and collaborate with clients and other departments (Marketing, Design/Development, Finance, Customer Service, etc.) to address customer needs and identify opportunities
  • Responsible for management of projects
    • Respond to all customer requests, inquiries and feedback in a relevant and timely manner in coordination with the Sales Manager
    • Provide assistance to Sales Managers by producing presentations, letters, memos, reports, spreadsheets and general administration for the Sales Department
    • Provide product and process information along with marketing materials to aid in selling DecoPac products
    • Build customer presentations based on objective/agenda topics provided by the Sales Manager
    • Create and submit item set-up sheets for new product presentations and manage accordingly any changes on authorized list, prices, UPC, pack/size, etc. within the customer’s system
    • Provides product, promotion, and pricing information by clarifying customer request; selecting appropriate information; forwarding information; answering questions.
    • Assist in developing key account strategic plans with Sales Manager
  • Create Sell Sheets on new programs / product announcements for Sales Team
  • Assist Sales Manager with miscellaneous sales projects
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities


  • 5-7 years of experience in related field - experience in customer service is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently but also able to collaborate and work well within cross-functional teams
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (including verbal/written skills)
  • Ability to effectively address day-to-day operational issues while staying focused on long-term objectives
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and time management skills with proven decision making skills and ability to handle multiple projects at one time – very detailed oriented
  • Must have excellent computer knowledge and display high aptitude for understanding and utilizing technology within business
  • Possess a strong knowledge of office operations (heavy experience in: Microsoft Window 7 Professional - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) with Web Query and the i5 Series a plus
  • Experience with Webinars, Skype and Conference calls
  • CRM experience a plus
