The Surgical Nurse Practitioner is a skilled member of the allied health team who provides patient services under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner License in the State of Wisconsin. The Surgical Nurse Practitioner ensures continuity between clinical practice and standards of care as well as promotes and aids in patient preparation for discharge. This individual works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other health care disciplines utilizing a team approach to healthcare.

- One year of experience in Podiatry preferred
- Two years of nursing experience preferred
- Current Wisconsin RN Licensure
- Nurse Practitioner Certification by a national certifying body
- Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber Certification
- CPR certification
