STATE AGENCIES DIVISION
The Office of the Minnesota Attorney General is accepting resumes for an experienced lawyer to join the State Agencies division of the Office.
Attorneys in the division represent a variety of State agencies in state and federal court litigation, including defense of Section 1983 lawsuits, and constitutional issues. Attorneys also represent the State of Minnesota in administrative proceedings, including enforcement of labor, health, and safety laws. Lawyers are responsible for all phases of civil litigation, including pleadings and briefs, court hearings and trials, and appeals.
Requirements. Applicants should have superior academic credentials, excellent writing and communication skills, outstanding research and analytical abilities, good judgment and character, relevant practice experience, a strong work ethic, and professional deportment. The selection process to become an Assistant Attorney General is highly competitive, and applicants must have the desire to serve the public.
