ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTPosition DescriptionThis position is responsible to lead strategy and innovation, creating the alignment between business demands and IS solutions, and ensuring UCare realizes value from its technology investment. This includes the evaluation of existing systems and technologies, and the development of strategic solutions to solve business challenges facing the organization now and in the future. Focus on enterprise systems that support business value by leading research, evaluation, design and testing of technologies that improve and enhance security, availability, maintainability and cost effectiveness. Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure that technology decisions align with the overall Enterprise Architecture Framework. ·Develop an understanding of UCare's current and future business needs and technical capabilities.·Serve as an advocate for the business; drive decisions that meet evolving business goals, needs and features while aligning to IS strategy and objectives.·Serve as an advocate for IS; key decision maker for IS solutions that support the Enterprise and ensure alignment with technology standards and practices.·Provide long-term strategic planning and transformational responsibility for the company's IS systems.·Ensure all systems are documented and diagrammed, and that artifacts are kept current.·Lead the development of common reusable enterprise IS assets.·Create and manage the Architecture Review Board; ensure that projects meet IS standards, do not duplicate functionality and align to business and IS strategies.
·Collaborate with functional architect(s) to provide a consensus based enterprise solution that is scalable, adaptable and aligned with ever changing business needs.
·Ensure technology architecture meets the organizational security standards by adhering to the appropriate standards and security policies.
·Development of policies, standards and guidelines that govern the selection, development, implementation and use of IS within the enterprise.
·Mentor functional architects and technical business analysts.
·Assist with vendor selection and negotiation.·Other projects and duties as assigned.EducationBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business Management; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Required ExperienceFive years Healthcare Industry experience. Ten years of experience collaboratively designing, standardizing and building enterprise systems in a complex environment, ensuring that solutions align with business strategies and goals. Eight years of developing enterprise architecture standards and practices. Eight years of supporting/maintaining technology systems in an enterprise environment. Five years of direct experience in enterprise-level application integration. Five years of implementing enterprise architecture standards, governance and frameworks to meet specific company needs. Five years direct and in-direct management of resources. Three or more years of experience in Cisco LAN/WAN infrastructure.Proven experience in developing enterprise and solution level architectural designs. Proven experience in overseeing the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems. Experience developing capabilities and teams within an IS organization. Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping. Strong background in risk management methodologies as they relate to integration/software engineering. Proven project management skills with substantial exposure to structured project methodologies including Agile development and waterfall. Experience with Portfolio Management and Business Relationship Management. Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies. Knowledge of applicable security and data privacy practices and laws. Proven vendor management and negotiation experience.Preferred ExperienceEnterprise Architecture Certification.
