We are looking for a licensed social worker to work very part-time hours as well as occasionally on-call as a birth parent counselor. Our birth parent counselors provide support to clients throughout their adoption plan: from making a decision, designing their placement plan, support in and around the hospital experience, and after placement of the baby/child.

The position we are seeking would include an 8-hour weekday shift covering our birth parent phone line and being scheduled on-call and serving as “back up” for our primary counselors. This person would be trained to cover and work with a birth parent during any stage of their placement plan. All of our staff is expected to attend our monthly staff meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

This part time/on-call position requires a license in social work and some experience in an adoption related field or having worked with young women in similar circumstances.  Our birth parents reside all over the state, so car travel is expected.
