Humera is looking to fill a Technical Support Specialist for our client in Eden Prairie. This is a contract to hire position and the schedule will be weekends and three weeknights.
This position is responsible for providing information about the Company's products and resources to customers and end-consumers placing inquiries via phone, e-mail, or fax. This position will have frequent interaction with Product Management, Product Development and Quality staff.
  • Provide product assembly assistance, cross reference look ups, and other technical product support to direct customers or end users making inquiries via phone or e-mail
  • Follow-up with customers whose orders are incomplete or have issues that need to be resolved to ensure world class customer service
  • Assist customers in navigating to and using website
  • Identify opportunities to up-sell or cross-sell products and services from customer-initiated contacts
  • Enter customer feedback tickets into SAP on a timely and consistent basis, regarding the types of calls and inquiries being received
  • Enter orders received via e-mail, EDI, or fax
  • Maintain current knowledge of company products and processes through training and other available resources
  • Study for and obtain InfoComm's Certified Technology Specialist certification within one year of employment and/or of assuming

    Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with minimum of 3 years of customer care experience, preferably in a product support call center affiliated with manufacturing
  • Experience working with a technical product line or in a technical field
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Some business or technical college course completion
  • Previous experience with SAP software
  • Ability to fluently speak and write French or Spanish is a plus
    *Must be willing to work the evening and weekend shifts to start. As different shifts become available, candidates can move switch schedules and days working.
