Ware is working with an excellent company in Eden Prairie that is looking for a Maintenance Technician! This is a contract-to-hire role. This position will perform engineering and maintenance (manual and automated) on production lines and physical plant equipment to assure uninterrupted operation of production equipment.  These duties range from replacing basic parts to equipment refurbishment to optimizing equipment performance to advanced troubleshooting.   Responsibilities include: - Perform maintenance activities on production lines to maximize productivity.  - Install new equipment on production lines and perform tests to ensure equipment is operating correctly.      - Perform line change overs to accommodate for production schedule        - Perform adjustments of production lines for continuous production and to minimize machine downtime - Trains production workers in the proper operation of production machinery to avoid down time and injuries.  - Operates tool room equipment when necessary. (lathe, mill, band saw, etc.)      - The machinery includes, but is not limited to: Form/Fill/Seal equipment; Automated Packaging line; Bottle and tube Line; Wrapping, stacking, counting and collating systems; Steam heated jacketed vessels; Heat tunnels - Perform work within Quality System Standards.   -Clean machinery and equipment per Standard Operating Procedures and/or FDA requirements.   Desired Skills and Experience: - 2-year technical degree in packaging, automation, or machine design and maintenance - 5 years hands-on machine maintenance experience on a variety of packaging machines - Ability to perform basic to advanced troubleshooting of equipment mechanical issues. - Ability to operate shop machines (lathe, mill, band saw) and fabricate repair parts - Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, blueprints and schematics in English - General electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge required - Working knowledge of PLS and PLC machine set-up - Ability to independently perform repairs and set-up in a timely and safe manner. - Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic and every changing work environment - Possess a positive work attitude with the ability to effectively communicate with co-workers at all levels - Low pressure boiler and forklift license preferred
