Doherty Career Solutions has partnered with a leader in thermoplastic injection molding and assembly industry to find a talented Tool Maker/CNC Machinist for their growing team. This exciting position has a large impact on the company's success. This individual will be responsible for building, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing and injection molds by keeping them in good operating condition, which includes taking them apart, lubricating and reassembling. Along with the tool maker responsibilities this individual will be programming and operating CNC Machines.

Responsibilities:

· Make and repair tools

· Ensure adequate inventory of all essential replacement parts

· Implement Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs

· Maintain tooling storage

· Ensure safe work environment

· Run all machines that aid in making and repairing tools to include but not limited to surface grinder, precision lathe with digital read out, sine plate, mold splitter, magnetic drill press, optidresser, pin grinder and EDM

· Program and run CNC equipment

· Some mold maintenance

· Assist Manufacturing

· Hands on involvement in the engineering process with product, design, tool design, material selection, quotations, tool build and sampling

· Support production, sales and quality effort

· Work to identify and correct non-performing tools

Qualifications/Education

Required

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Computer literacy

· Ability to operate a forklift

· Ability to safety lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally

· Good communication skills

· Understanding of OSHA and safety requirements

· Ability to interpret and analyze data in decision making

· Manufacturing experience

Desired

· Technical/College degree in tooling and design

· Plastic processing experience

· Injection molding and assembly experience

· IQMS experience

Performance Standards

· Timely management of production results and quality

· Minimal Incident Reports

· Timely resolution and troubleshooting of tool issues
