The Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership (MAOL) Program invites applicants for a full time rolling contract position as Program Director and ranked faculty member, beginning June 1, 2017, pending budget approval. Rank and salary commensurate with education and experience.
The MAOL Program provides innovative graduate leadership education focused on ethics, global perspective, and core business practice skills. The MAOL mission is to develop students' professional and personal abilities to be effective, ethical and enduring leaders. MAOL graduates pursue an array of leadership careers in for-profit, non-profit and public sectors.
Responsibilities: The Program Director has primary responsibility for leading and managing the MAOL Program, and also serves as a core ranked faculty member. Key responsibilities: Lead innovative strategic planning and visionary program growth; Provide skilled administrative and academic leadership (including budgeting, course scheduling, supervising staff, hiring adjunct faculty, program assessment, administering custom graduate certificate programs, collaborating with other graduate programs); Develop, sustain, and grow relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners; Develop and lead special partnerships, programs, and events; Positively and strategically represent MAOL at St. Catherine University and in wider community and public contexts; Teach courses, provide academic advising, and supervise student research; Conduct scholarly research.
Required: Ph.D. or other doctoral-level degree in leadership, organizational development, business, economics, education, or other related fields, or ABD with completion date by 9/1/17; Significant professional experience in a leadership role and/or academic leadership in a higher education environment.
Preferred: Teaching experience in higher education with a minimum of two years of graduate-level experience teaching adult learners preferred; Excellent project management skills; Strong communication, relationship-building, and cross-cultural skills; Flexibility and vision to structure and perform an evolving leadership role; Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams; Demonstrated ability to work with faculty and staff in implementing curricular and co-curricular initiatives; Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain a diverse workforce and student-body; Demonstrated record of high quality scholarship consistent with rank of Associate Professor preferred.
