JOIN US AS A SR DIRECTOR, ISP COE

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Articulates and embodies the vision and mission of the company and the IS&P COE organization. Ensures sourcing and procurement strategies are fully aligned with Target's strategic priorities. Develops and designs strategies in partnership with peers and leaders, and then works to communicate the  strategy to peers and executives to ensure full understanding, support and alignment. Is a catalyst for developing and facilitating policies, processes, financial integrity and transparency. Demonstrates authentic leadership with a primary focus on the development of talent.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Executes against goal plan, accountable for the delivery of goods and services to Stores, Distribution Centers and HQ locations, managing the balance between fill rate and cost and ensuring sustainable outcomes
  • Leads a team of leaders, providing direction, coaching and career advice to the entire team along with chairing talent meetings, writing and delivering annual reviews and merit statements
  • Communicates and presents to internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiar with industry cost modeling, market trends and relevancy. Influences companywide understanding of indirect sourcing and supply dependency for organizational success
  • Develops joint goals with adjacent functions, pyramids, stakeholders to assure continued collaboration,  building and managing relevant metrics
  • Drives strategies around supplier relationships that matter the most (e.g., critical vendors) and sets expectations for tough negotiations with leveraged suppliers
  • Manages and resolves disputes, both internally and externally, working with finance and legal where appropriate
  • Has excellent analysis ability. Provides instinctive analysis and naturally synthesizes information that reflects the requirements
  • Is aware of conditions and trends that exist in the market, and works to understand, communicate and bring innovations to the team
  • Understands operational requirements of business partners / clients, acting as a Trusted Advisor
  • Develops strategic inventory methodologies and warehousing direction
  • Implements routines to proactively anticipate and minimize operational risks
REQUIREMENTS

  • 4-year college degree and/or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience in public speaking and presenting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite                                             
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule around sourcing events
