Administrative Assistant

Doherty Top Talent is partnering with a benefits consulting company in Edina in search of an Administrative Assistant.  This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity with regular business hours, Monday-Friday.  Ideal candidates will have previous group benefits experience, but candidates must be organized, detail-oriented, and client-focused.

Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:


  • Answering sensitive questions from prospective clients
  • Conducting and organizing weekly phone meetings
  • Compiling benefits information and sending to companies
  • Act as client liaison for documentation and correspondence
  • Fielding phone calls and directing calls/messages
  • Reviewing and forwarding communication to appropriate departments and employees
  • Receiving, sorting, and distributing mail and packages
  • Assisting with ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution of office supplies
  • Assisting other department staff with various projects

Administrative Assistant Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year working in an administrative or receptionist role
  • Previous group benefits experience highly preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Standard computer knowledge with strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
