Acts as a trusted advisor; consistently delivering on fundamentals and advanced sourcing techniques, able to speak the language of the business, skilled enough to drive and manage change across the organization with speed and agility. Is proficient in the skills/capabilities of the Strategic Sourcing practice, quickly connecting its vision and strategy to project execution that aligns with Stakeholder expectations. Engages subject matter experts and support teams to develop innovative sourcing strategies, optimizing outcomes and generating results based scenarios that are focused on TCO decision making criteria (quality, service and cost impact). Balances category management, business development and collaborative project leadership to deliver results. Manages and reports on progress against category goals and ensures desired outcomes, while communicating progress in a timely and fact-based manner.

Leads cross functional work streams, provides sourcing and negotiation guidance in primary category and alternate programs as needed. Acts as a peer mentor to coach new TM's in skills development:

• Leads or contributes to the development or enhancement of institutional sourcing/negotiation best practices, able to coach/train

• Communicates and presents to internal and external stakeholders (includes the proficiency to present to Sr. Leadership)

• Develops event strategies and buying programs for indirect spend categories

• Knowledgeable of supply/demand dynamics and industry cost structures and mechanisms

• Guides category strategy development and implementation, including large contracting efforts

• Is aware of policies and deploys best practices in ethical business behavior, develops risk mitigation strategies

• Understands multi-tiered supply chain costing and delivery models, and is able to apply them through-out the project, product or contract lifecycle

• Reviews and guides team in financial analysis methods, such as TCO, clean sheet and award scenarios

• Identifies and effectively manages a variety of conflict solutions

• Leads certain strategic and business-critical sourcing events and/or negotiations

• Executes complex projects

Requirements:

• 4-year college degree and/or equivalent experience

• 7-10 years of relevant experience

• Strong written & verbal communication skills

• Experience in public speaking and presenting

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule around sourcing events

Desired Requirements:

• MBA

Supply Chain (Distribution/Transportation) experience highly desirable
