IT Business Analyst (Fulltime)

Summary

· The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for and/or will have involvement in a variety of deliverables and projects related to the development and release of business applications.

· Identify, research, analyze, validate and document business and functional requirements, translating those requirements into highly usable systems

· Under the directions of Sr. Business Analyst, the individual will play a lead role in internal and cross-functional initiatives

· Requires strong communication and leadership skills in order to solicit requirements from business and internal IT stakeholders, identify gaps, functionality and process.

Responsibilities

· Review requests for new solutions or system enhancement to ensure that all gaps are identified and addressed, and requirements are fully expressed to ensure accurate development and testing

· Collaborate with developers and functional users to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs

· Ensure that system designs and detailed designs are accurate, complete, and meet user requirements, perform structured reviews of code, database, and test plans

· Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver required documentation

· Configuration and testing of systems

Qualifications

· At least 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements

· Self-starter with leadership skills in order to take charge of or facilitate requirement-gathering sessions

· Strong analytical and project management skills required

· Knowledge of iSeries - infrastructure, operations

· Knowledge of CRM, PIM, Demand Planning, Proofing and Project Management systems a plus

· Experience in Retail or Wholesale/Distribution field a plus

· Ability to write and execute test cases, maintain a testing database

· Excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts

· Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle

· Bachelor's Degree preferred
