JOIN US AS A  PROGRAMMATIC MEDIA LEAD - BULLSEYE MARKETPLACE At Target, we've made significant investments in our proprietary digital marketing capabilities. These capabilities enable Target to deliver timely and personalized marketing messages; for our own marketing initiatives and for our partners. The Bullseye Trading Desk is an entrepreneurial team focused on active management of automated media buying through Bullseye Marketplace to improve performance and profit. Bullseye Marketplace is our curated digital media marketplace; spanning Video, Display, Native, Social and Audio advertising today, with plans for further expansion. This position helps lead the Bullseye Trading Desk automated media buying strategy, financials and technical foundation.  They will be a decision maker and drive key business enhancements. This vital role will interface closely with business leads and Target's agencies to aggressively drive the Trading Desk roadmap forward. The ideal candidate will have a vast understanding of data driven automated media (DSPs/SSPs, Social PMDs, DMPs) and be able to drive innovation through data, technology and relationships.Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for financial and marketing goals of Bullseye Marketplace Trading Desk
  • Margin management and ensuring profitable revenue
  • Target guest (aka consumer) reach
  • Ad decisions that fuel marketing goals: Store/Digital Traffic and Sales, Brand Engagement
  • Lead innovation and development of trading desk technology, including:
  • Sell Side Platforms (SSPs)
  • Buy Side Platforms (Facebook, Social Ads APIs, DMPs)
  • 2nd & 3rd party data (via Header tags, SDK, et al)
  • Data Management (DMP integrations)
  • Manage a strategic and operational approach to buying methodologies, enhancing our access to audiences and inventory while managing expense
  • Exceed margin goals via active expense management
  • Identify issues/opportunities and provide solutions
  • Manage day-to-day operation of the Bullseye Trading Desk
  • Lead automated media buying across programmatic and social media platforms
  • Serve as escalation point to enable nimble decisions
  • Manage inventory allocation and pricing (fixed and variable) for Bullseye Trading Desk media inventory
  • Forecast inventory availability and sell through, employing statistical analysis and modeling when needed
  • Lead communication with cross functional groups including media activation, sales, media strategy, partner agencies, ad product, and finance to evangelize automated media buying
  • Develop a deep understanding of Target and Vendor partner's marketing goals
  • Collaborate with other Bullseye Trading Desk senior leaders on optimization testing, strategic learning plan and the implementation of best practices
  • Lead performance and optimization discussions with Target and Vendor marketing teams
  • Advance relationships with key external partners such as Facebook, Google, Pinterest, and Snapchat
Requirements:
  • B.S. and/or B.A. (4 years)
  • 7+ years of experience in digital marketing
  • 3+ years of ad tech experience
  • 3+ years of dedicated pricing, yield management and/or inventory management
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and outcome focused personality
  • Ability to act autonomously based on agreed upon goals and expectations
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Track record of thinking strategically, delivering results and managing operations
  • Refined communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with media buy/sell (DSP/SSP/Ad Serving)
  • Experience developing relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Experience managing strategic partnerships in the technology and media spaces
  • Understanding of data acquisition and application
  • Strong mathematical, statistical and analytical skills
