Manager, Expense and Team Management

Position Overview

The manager of expense management is responsible for the overall management of the day-to-day operations of the expense processors and expense specialist teams. Ensuring that team members are fully engaged in their roles and responsibilities, are meeting expected deadlines, and maintaining real time records to ensure relocating employees and corporate clients experience Delight.

Essential Job Functions

  • Work with the Implementation Team to implement new accounts
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to effectively identify and resolve problems, as well as use new concepts, processes and technologies to create efficiencies
  • Serve as a relocation tax resource for internal and external clients
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement improvements for current service delivery processes and procedures
  • Serve as the service delivery escalation point for internal and external contacts

Manager Functions

  • Maintain and monitor team workload, performance, and service delivery quality
  • Determine baseline service performance metrics and set goals for excellence
  • Ensure successful completion of direct reports’ Performance Goals
  • Assess developmental needs and assist in the initial and ongoing training and education opportunities
  • Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews with recommendations for salary increases, promotions, and disciplinary action as appropriate
  • Oversee allocation of resources and staff to ensure consistent, high-quality customer service
  • Provide guidance for team members regarding the resolution of routine as well as complex operational and customer service situations
  • Participate in the interviewing, hiring, and retention of highly engaged employees

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work autonomously, as well as be part of a successful team
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • College degree preferred
  • Management experience in a team-oriented workplace
