   Main Responsibilities:


• Active participant in the care of patients, under the direct supervision of staff pediatric Providers
• Proficient, current technical skills in: chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, immunology, allergy injections, phlebotomy, quality control in collecting specimens, lab testing for tests, instrument calibrations and maintenance, actual prep and participation in      COLA/CLIA inspections for a moderately complex lab
• Responsible for the collection of patient information and data. Including: vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height/weight), past medical history, medications, allergies, documentation of present illness/chief complaint, review of symptoms, and    treatment plan
• Review patient charts prior to visit and identify patient needs to the Provider regarding Well Visits, Immunizations, Asthma follow-up, and medication follow-up
• Active participant within the health care team and ensure efficient clinic work flow. Promote a healthy and positive work environment, and participate in team communications and staff meetings
• Cleaning of the lab, exam rooms, stocking exam rooms and procedure areas, and prepare rooms for patient exams
• Gather information, documents, and forms necessary to support the patient visit
• Documentation in an electronic medical record
• Responsible for adhering to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Responsible for assisting Providers with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks


Requirements:
• ASCP certification preferred
• Minimum of 2-year lab work experience, preferably in pediatrics
• Current with COLA/CLIA regulations
• Proficient computer skills, including EMR
• Desire to work with children of all ages, newborns through college-age
• Strong work ethic, independently and as a team player
• Positive, professional and respectful communication
