Assembly Journeyman Cabinet Builder
Pro Staff has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cabinetmaker. This position is responsible for manufacturing product according to drawings and customer specifications. Ideal candidate is an experienced craftsman and focuses maintaining high company standards. Experience with machining and building fixtures, hang doors, fit drawers, applying hardware and light electrical work. Finishing experience a plus. Hours are 6:00a.m.-4:30p.m.M-TH, with occasional Friday work hours depending on workload. Must have a minimum of 3 years cabinet building experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities . - Manufacturers product according to drawings and specifications - Complete complex tasks within a given time period, adjusting for frequently changing priorities and occasional deadline changes - Assists in the training of team members to meet Company expectations - Ensures parts and/or subassemblies and finished product are labeled accurately - Displays a sense of urgency and forward-thinking approach toward completing assigned tasks - Maintains a safe working environment, established in part by a clean work area - Other duties as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Requires four years of high school and four to six years related experience. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints and procedure manuals, ability to write routine reports and correspondence, ability to communicate effectively with employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation within tight deadlines, while receiving multiple requests for other needs. Other Qualifications Requires the ability to operate a fork lift, a variety of small hand tools, saws, sanders, ladders and a variety of standard business machines, such as a computer, calculator, telephone, etc. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
