Assistant Professor - Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy
The Department of Occupational Therapy invites applicants for a full time rolling contract Assistant Professor faculty position beginning August, 2017 in our Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy Program, pending budget approval. Rank and salary commensurate with education and experience.
Responsibilities: Accountable for student learning in the Department of Occupational Therapy including teaching in the Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy Program. May also teach in the online Occupational Therapy Doctorate program. Must demonstrate the commitment to mission, philosophy, goals, and priorities of the OT Department and St. Catherine University, abide by the AOTA Code of Ethics and follow University policies and procedures as stated in the St. Catherine University catalog and the faculty and student handbooks. Teaching and service expectations and responsibilities are related to the primary needs of the programs and are focused on student success and satisfaction. Expected to participate in scholarship and service to the department, University, profession or community.
Requirements: A minimum of a Doctoral degree is required. A minimum of 3 years clinical practice is required with demonstrated knowledge of current occupational therapy practice. Prior college level teaching experience is preferred, along with experience in adult rehabilitation. Must be eligible for or hold a current OT licensure in Minnesota.
