  • Evangelizing the evolving world of search engines at all levels of the organization in terms of best practices, industry standards, and legal requirements with clear focus on driving results through practical application
  • Managing initiative prioritization, benefits development, budget allocation, timelines and deliverables
  • Developing world-class analytics and reporting capabilities
  • Conducting industry and competitive research and develop approach to maintain Target's industry leadership
  • Performing 3rd party partner evaluation, selection and managing relationships
Requirements
  • 4-year Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related areas of study or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years prior SEO work experience
    • 2-3 years' experience with large scale sites (e.g…2M+ pages)
    • 1-2 years' experience with adaptive and/or responsive sites
  • Strong conceptual understanding of data warehousing basics/principles and how to leverage data in driving decisions and action
  • Up to date understanding of W3C standards
  • Conceptual understanding of common JavaScript frameworks (examples: Backbone.js, AngularJS, Node.js, React, JQuery, Ember.js, Phantom.js, Prerender.io)
  • Supervisory Experience a plus
  • Experience with Agile and/or Scrum development practices a plus
  • eCommerce Experience a plus
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
