Design and develop manufacturing processes, tooling and fixtures used in the production of biomedical device products, including responsibility for the design and development of processes, tooling and fixtures that are required in order to meet production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality; and for associated functions involving the performance of engineering functions that require the application of new production equipment, process improvements and cost reductions, while supporting new product introductions; the conducting of process failure mode effect analyses (FMEA) and validations; the support of existing product manufacturing processes; the improvement of product quality, labor efficiencies and throughput using lean manufacturing concepts; the performance of activities involving the design, procurement, build and debugging of tooling, machinery and equipment; the implementation of resource planning and project management tools; cross-functional collaboration in selecting and scheduling project responses; the preparation of technical reports, analyses, and presentations; and the support of company initiatives in support of quality management systems (QMS), environmental management systems (EMS) and regulatory requirements.
