FINANCIAL ANALYST - REVENUEPosition DescriptionThis position is responsible to provide overall risk adjustment analytical and reporting support to the organization and management. Lead the revenue analysis and reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Provide financial modeling and key data development support for strategic organizational projects, analysis, and ad hoc reports to support management decision making. Manage the development of evolving internal data structures. Maintain a strong understanding of CMS, DHS, and ACA Individual/Exchange related data sources for reporting and consolidation. Ensure strong internal and external risk adjustment partnerships through new education, information sharing, and reporting. ·Develop and maintain updated risk adjustment and revenue models for monthly, quarterly and annual plan and provider analysis. Aggregate data from Member level to high level for leadership·Monitor monthly key metrics for internal and external partners. Ensure timely distribution of results directly with colleagues while monitoring and measuring change effects. ·Lead the Risk Adjustment data requirements of UCare's Federal CMS bid. Constantly monitor CMS guidance for changes that affect UCare's products - proactively share changes with colleagues as SME.·Support cross-functional Risk Adjustment projects, cyclical reviews, and compliance activities. ·Maintain a strong understanding of medical claim coding and payment processes including the differences between Medicaid, Medicare, and ACA Individual/Exchange coverage. ·Track provider coding performance to ensure accurate representation of UCare's population risk at a provider level. Communicate performance metrics to providers while offering optimization suggestions. ·Analyze questions posed by the regulatory and compliance areas. ·Inform revenue management about Data Warehouse trends and concerns. Manage fixes, enhancements, and new tables in the Data Warehouse. ·Assist with the development of training documents, internal and external presentations and online informational and training modules. ·Represent Health Care Economics on various UCare cross-departmental projects as an active contributor and supporting resource. ·Create and maintain procedures and current process documentation. ·Ad hoc analysis and backup support as needed. Other projects and duties as assigned. ·Other projects and duties as assigned.EducationB.A./B.S. in Finance, Economics, or Computer Science related field preferred; demonstrated analytical and programming experience may be considered in lieu of degree.Required ExperienceThree years of reporting, analysis, data or statistics based experience. Strong Excel and SQL skills. Data mining, consolidation and new report generation.Preferred ExperienceHealth insurance industry and risk adjustment / revenue payment modeling experience. Five years of reporting, analysis, data or statistics based experience.
