Administrative Assistant (Policyholder Benefits Team Support)

Doherty Top Talent is partnering with a corporate life insurance company in Golden Valley, MN! We are looking for an Administrative Assistant (Policyholder Benefits Support) to work a first shift, Monday-Friday for an excellent opportunity to work with a growing company that values their employees. Compensation is $18 per hour for this opportunity.


Under limited supervision, this Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing a variety of support service for the Policyholder Benefits Team. This position requires occasional contact with customers to provide or clarify information regarding the status of business. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to continue to grow and maintain relationship with external customers and internal business partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain department records and filing systems.
  • Maintain confidential personnel data, business reviews and proposals, etc.
  • Researches and obtains information for routine and moderately complex reports and special assignments.
  • Update account and manage request from Guarantee Benefit Account vendor Open Solutions.
  • Create overnight shipping labels for outbound disbursements ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • General Administrative Support-Stock printers with paper, escalate print issues, escalate system issues, maintain records

Main Requirements:

  • At least 1 year customer service experience
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work under little supervision
  • Skilled in Excel
  • Ability to work in fast pace, changing environment
  • Analytical skills

Preferable Skills/Experience:

  • 2 years customer service experience
  • Financial services experience
  • 4 year degree
  • Previous experience with check reissues

  • High attention to detail

  • Extraordinary accuracy

  • Prior customer service experience

  • Securities - Transfers, exchanges, roll-overs, IRA's, Trusts, Custodians -Ownerships good to have prior understanding of

  • Minimal formal training- On-Line high lever introduction modules

  • OJT - On the Job Training

  • Regulation 60 Correspondence

  • Accuracy of communication

  • Extreme accuracy in processing
