Position Description

This position is responsible to perform analysis, document and lead EDW projects incorporating the needs of Health Care Economics and other UCare business units as directed. Work with appropriate subject matter experts to understand the business problem and perform necessary data analysis to gather, document and confirm business and technical requirements.  Collaborate with EDW technical resources to ensure understanding of requirements and create development schedules as well as coordinate UAT activities.  Create and maintain project artifacts.  Effectively manage and communicate project status, risks, barriers and success as appropriate to stakeholders.  Ensure requirements and solutions conform to departmental, EDW, and technical standards as specified.  Act as the liaison between the business and Information Services (IS) to ensure alignment on EDW project.

 ·Collaborate with appropriate project subject matter experts - both internal and external vendors - to gather, document, and confirm business and technical requirements.

·Perform Data Analysis as needed to assist in the gathering of business and technical requirements.

·Assist the technical resources in understanding and translating business requirements for the purpose of developing functional requirements.

·Provide effective written and oral communication to key EDW stakeholders to report progress and to identify risks and barriers.

·Develop and maintain project documentation and artifacts.

·Coordinate with technical EDW resources on priorities and timelines.

·Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure that IS and EDW resources are aware of ongoing and upcoming projects to make sure that efforts are not overlapping or conflicting.

·Define UAT plans and coordinate UAT resources and timelines for projects

·Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.

·Provide post-implementation for support and ensure solutions continue to meet business requirements.

·Other projects and duties as assigned.


BS/BA in a Computer Science, Business or related field required.  Demonstrated work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.  

Required Experience

Five or more years of combined Business and/or Technical analysis experience.  Demonstrated Strong analytical skills and advanced technical skills.

Preferred Experience

Knowledge of the HMO industry strongly preferred.  Experience with EDW and software such as SQL and project planning and Change Management desired.
