The Cloud Security team at Target is looking for highly creative and motivated DevOps Engineers to join our efforts in building first-of-its-kind security products and services for the enterprise.  As a member of this innovative agile team you will be collaborating regularly with Digital, Infrastructure, and other Security groups to develop capabilities required to secure application workloads in dynamic cloud environments. In this CI/CD workspace you will be charged with constructing and integrating solutions with many popular Open Source technologies, internally developed applications, native cloud services and COTS software.  Engineers on this team will also be challenged to provide technical and thought leadership in an effort improve corporate culture and development practices, simplify processes and optimize platforms.  To succeed in this role, you need to be courageous, eager to learn, able to work through ambiguity, effectively communicate (written and verbal), problem solve, and foster idea generation. Here's a smattering of approaches important to us, and the technologies we use:
    • Everything we do is “as-code” in version controlled releases through a continuous integration process
    • Everything we build and maintain is secure by design
    • Reduce required manual interaction and simplify and optimize services through automation
Preferred Skills and Expertise:
    • Experience with continuous integration and deployment technologies such as: Jenkins, Drone, Spinnaker, Terraform
    • Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as: Chef, Consul Template, Ansible and Salt
    • Experience designing and implementing container orchestration systems with Docker and Kubernetes
    • Experience with creating RPMs and immutable images
    • Experience with and proficient with the programming and scripting languages: Go, Ruby, Python, Groovy, Java, Bash
    • Experience with building event-driven workflows in automation tools such as: StackStorm (st2)
    • Experience with open-source telemetry and logging and reporting solutions such as: Sensu, Graphite, Uchiwa, Logstash, Elasticsearch, and Kibana/Grafana
    • Experience building high-performance infrastructures that are scalable and resilient
    • Experience with cloud-based IaaS platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenStack, etc…
    • Personal or professional experience contributing to open source projects
    • Experience with collaborative planning and defect tracking through GitHub and Jira
    • Ability create clear and detailed technical diagrams and documentation
    • BA/BS or equivalent experience
    • 3+ years total work experience
    • Highly productive coder; self-starter and continuous learner with a passion for new and evolving technologies
    • Ability to effectively communicate with both engineers and management
    • Shows courage in ambiguous situations, not afraid to fail… provided you get back up again!
