Position Description

This position is responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications - across all channels and audiences - that meet business and organizational goals. As owner of the UCare Medicare brand, you will work with business units across the organization to ensure all touch points articulate the UCare brand. Other responsibilities include: 1) directing and facilitating strategic, actionable, high-quality and timely delivery of Medicare marketing tactics in coordination with key enrollment periods and 2) providing expertise, writing and editorial coordination and consultation for Medicare marketing, STARS, NCQA and member retention communications initiatives.

·Develop and execute measurable marketing and communications strategies that meet Medicare product and enrollment goals.

·Leverage opportunities to elevate and amplify UCare's Medicare brand awareness.

·Design and implement enrollment-driven direct response marketing strategies that elicit specific, measurable responses, and deliver a call to action and outcome via direct or digital interaction for immediate engagement.

·Collaborate with the Medicare marketing team to track and report marketing campaign results through a marketing dashboard.

·Collaborate with Government Relations staff to ensure compliance with CMS and other statutory requirements.

·Coordinate the writing, development, health literacy and production of communications supporting UCare's Medicare products, including onboarding materials, sales kit collaterals and health and wellness outreach.

·Provide editorial services for UCare's Medicare websites and mobile apps with the aim of optimizing navigation, copywriting and ease of use. 

·Contribute to social media strategy, postings and digital engagement initiatives.

·Serve as an editorial resource and consultant to other departments on communications projects and work in a cross-functional or collaborative function with other areas of the organization and within the team.

·Guide editorial development of Medicare quality improvement, disease management, and health promotion materials to support targeted STARS and National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) objectives and accreditation requirements.

·Serve as brand steward, ensuring consistent messaging, design and UCare "voice" and "tone" in communications.

·Collaborate with ad agency on Medicare product advertisement campaigns, including direct mail.

·Adhere to the member material process mapping system, and fulfill business owner and marketing communications roles as outlined in the process.

·Other projects and duties as assigned.


Bachelor's in Marketing or MBA preferred; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 

Required Experience

Five years of corporate or non-profit marketing or communications experience.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office.  Three years of direct response marketing and project management experience.

Preferred Experience

Health care communications, digital marketing, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), social media and media production experience. Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) integration. Experience working in a government-regulated industry a plus. Proficiency in digital authoring platforms.
