We are seeking a Front-End Engineer looking to help drive the UI development on a new platform that will enable all of Target's Buyers to perform their day-to-day activities. The main challenges that we are facing as a platform are: defining user friendly interfaces that enable a user to consume large amounts of data, provide a solution that allows users to “Plan as they want” while balancing the level of complexity we are adding to the system, and enabling the consumption of large amounts of data, while still rendering the page in an acceptable amount of time. As a Front-End Engineer looking to help us tackle this one-of-a-kind problem, you should be well versed in AngularJS and capable of leading the team in designing and developing highly reusable components that utilize ReactJS Strengths. Additionally, you will drive the adoption of Best Practices, Code Standards, and you will work closely with the UX team to bring the application to life.  In addition to that, you will be expected to help drive UI consistency and reusability across multiple teams working on the Platform. Must Haves:
  • Experience driving UI Initiatives across multiple teams
  • Has demonstrated the ability to lead the design, development, and adoption of reusable UI components and styles
  • Some ReactJS Experience
  • Designing maintainable and extensible JavaScript Code
  • Can demonstrate the ability to deliver quality code with Automated Tests
  • Attention to Detail in regards to maintaining a consistent UX
  • Experience creating unique UX that allow users to consume large amounts of data
  • Can effectively write SCSS and HTML code to develop unique user experiences
Nice to Have:
  • Experience creating rapid prototypes to use in discovery sessions with end users
  • Experience building an application with Material Design Concepts
  • Experience writing Gulp Automation tasks
  • Node.js experience
