Humera is looking for an Legal Administrative Assistant for our client located in Hopkins MN. This is in the legal department of a large company that provides food, agriculture, risk management, financial and industrial products and services around the globe.
Duties:
This role is primarily data entry and management of patents and trademarks. There is currently a backlog of work with thousands of emails sitting in one file in Outlook. This associate with be trained on how review those emails and get them into the correct electronic files.
There are 2 main projects
1. Reviewing and managing lawyer emails related to patent prosecution into a new online Law Dept records management system - Transferring emails from Outlook into Law Records Management System (Open Text, Enterprise Connect)
2. Reviewing audit reports and updating data fields our IP docketing system for consistency and quality control (CPA Memotech)
This is very independent work and once project is established and underway it will be more data entry in nature.
Person needs to understand this and be self-driven, willing to work independently.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
  • Patent filling/prosecution knowledge
  • Strong MS Office experience - specifically strong in Outlook
  • Working in IP docketing systems (prefer Memotech)
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy
  • Role has access to highly confidential information and manages inquiries and exercises discretion as required


  • Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
  • Open Text/Enterprise Connect (this is Cargill Law's electronic records system tightly integrated with Outlook) OR other document management system
  • CPA Memotech
