The University of St. Thomas invites qualified candidates to apply for a Salesforce Administrator position within Information Technology Services.

The Salesforce Administrator is a lead analyst within the Enterprise Systems Services team. The Salesforce Administrator will administrate and support the Enterprise CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system. This position will be responsible for leading system design and development efforts for the Enterprise CRM system and associated systems. The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for mentoring and/or providing direction to other junior Systems Analyst as well as other technical staff within ITS. The Salesforce Administrator will have a number of years experience with different development platforms and application development languages. This position will serve as a resource for any CRM related projects.

The Salesforce Administrator may also lead projects, present to management, research new systems and design techniques, and manage projects on behalf of the user community.

1. Lead Enterprise Information Systems Development Efforts

Determine technical approach for the main systems at the university. Lead technical

projects and efforts for the Enterprise CRM system and the system interfaces to and from

the CRM system. Provide expert technical knowledge in decision making for technical

solutions that best meet the customer’s need at UST. Mentor and train junior technical staff on the CRM system. Serve as a role model to technical staff within the division for technical issues, customer service, and leadership. Provide recommendation on how to improve departmental standards and ensure UST and ITS processes are followed for system development. Maintain CRM system and provided day to day support. Do system development as needed.

2. Lead Systems Research & New Development Efforts

Take the lead on planning, designing, developing, testing and launching research or new

development projects. Create system design specifications based on functional requirements. Work closely with the project team including the Technical Process Analyst or key users to determine solutions to business needs. Perform systems analysis and development with new and existing software.

3. Project Management

Be the Project Manager for technical projects involving the enterprise systems. Lead junior technical staff and users through the phases of a project. Ensure the project is completed to the customer’s business needs and timeline.

4. Administrative and Internal Procedures

Attend to administrative tasks such as attending department/team meetings, send and receive email, respond to voicemail, serve on departmental committees, etc. Is proficient with and follows ITS procedures for Communication Updates, Call/incident tracking,

Installation and Inventory, Knowledge Base and Communication Guidelines. Remains current on information about customer communication and technology trends.

5. Performs other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications: B.A./B.S. in Computer Science/QM or Certification in Computer Programming/Operations and five (5) years of related experience. The equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for either the degree or the experience. Previous experience to include Salesforce, Jitterbit, VisualForce, Apex, MS Office, and reporting tools. An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired may be substituted.

Knowledge of: computer software to include Salesforce, Jitterbit, Previous experience to include Salesforce, Jitterbit, VisualForce, Apex, MS Office, and reporting tools; systems analyst and project leader experience.

Skill in: able to work in a team-based environment; problem solve by independently interrogating systems and software for problem sources and solutions, doing so quickly and calmly in emergency situations; critical thinking and analytical skills; flexibility in work schedule due to the unpredictability of various problems and varying team needs, and be willing to work extended hours as necessary; strong programming and problem solving skills; leadership skills for leading technical projects, work efforts, and mentoring staff; excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as human relations skills.
