Position Description

This position is responsible to manage the Pricing Team.  Oversee the analysis, design, implementation and contribute to maintenance of pricing configuration and third party pricing tools.  Identify, evaluate and implement processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness and quality of pricing configuration.  Ensure pricing configuration and department operations adhere to state and federal guidelines. Support the strategy and business needs of UCare.

·Recruit, develop, mentor and evaluate staff.  Establish, communicate and enforce performance standards.

·Identify training and coaching needs of staff.  Develop and implement training / mentoring plans to best meet departmental and individual needs or goals.

·Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures, work instructions, and other documentation to establish clear expectations for staff. 

·Direct staff work flow and performance to ensure adherence to service level objectives, policies and procedures.  Address with staff any recognized deficiencies.

·Ensure timely and accurate pricing configuration to support provider contracts, state and federal guidelines and UCare pricing policy.

·Identify, implement, monitor and report on strategies to improve the operational efficiencies and quality of department workflows.

·Participate as key departmental liaison or lead for interdepartmental committees and work groups, as assigned.

·Provide regular status reporting of departmental activities.

·Other projects and duties as assigned.


Bachelor's degree in business or related field; demonstrated work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Three years supervisory/managerial experience. Two years' experience in Medicaid, Medicare, and managed care organization.  Project management experience.  Experience with business process improvement.

Preferred Experience

Amisys configuration experience.  One year claims processing experience.
