SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS
SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS - SLD, EBD, MMI, MSI, DHH, VISION, and DAPE
Assignments will be made based on student needs.
DATES & SUMMER HOURS:
June 19 - July 21 (no school July 4), up to 3.75 hours per day - Monday thru Friday. 1-2 additional days during the week of June 12 or for set up.
AH Regional High (High School Credit Make Up Program) - Dates: June 19 - July 14, Monday thru Friday, (no school July 4), Hours: 7:45 am - 1:15 pm
Elementary Sites: Andover Elementary, Oxbow Creek, Morris Bye, and Johnsville
High School Sites: River Trail LC, Bridges, Champlin Park High, Blaine High, AH Regional High (High School Credit Make Up Program), Unique Learners Program
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide instruction in either a multi-age, cross categorical setting or multi-age, disability explicit setting to maintain skills which are subject to regression / recoupment and / or self-sufficiency.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires current MN Teaching License in one or more of the special education areas listed for which you are applying.
(Anoka-Hennepin will make every effort to hire teachers with full standard licenses in the assigned subject and grade level.)
RATE OF PAY: Teachers who work at their same position during the summer or do their own unit work during the summer, are paid according to their master agreement. Former Anoka-Hennepin Contracted Teachers or previous Anoka-Hennepin Summer School Teachers will receive the hourly rate in accordance with previous step/lane placement up to the maximum hourly rate stated in Article X of the working agreement ($34.00). New Summer School Teachers not employed in Anoka-Hennepin will be paid at Bachelors-Step 1 rate of $29.57 per hour. Teachers will be paid for teaching time plus prep time. There is no sick leave for summer school teachers.
