Customer Service Representative

Doherty Top Talent is currently partnering with an international leader in the design and manufacturing industry, primarily dealing with engine starting and emission control products for the automotive, truck, and industrial equipment industries, in Eden Prairie, MN. We are seeking a Customer Service Representative on 1st shift for this long-term employment opportunity! Compensation starts at $18 per hour.

SUMMARY - The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by providing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products, programs, and processes as well as communicating effectively with co-workers within and outside of the customer service department. This temp to hire opportunity is looking to start as soon as possible. Qualified candidates should be a quick learner, able to prioritize, flexible, patient, and able to multitask.

Customer Service Representative Main Duties/Responsibilities: · Processes customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures · Receives, enters and verifies orders from customers utilizing CRM/mainframe systems and customer purchase orders. · Reviews all Purchase Order data for accuracy (pricing, billing, and shipping data) and receives, reviews and processes shipping discrepancies submitted by customers · Provides order acknowledgement to customers as required. Identifies and prepares customer orders for shipping · Collaborates with internal resources as needed to expedite and accommodate parts for customer orders. Assists in expediting customer shipments in critical situations. · Responds to inbound customer calls and emails within the required performance targets of the department. · Professionally and accurately responds to customer inquiries regarding product availability, product pricing and product use.

Customer Service Representative Requirements/Qualifications: · Associate Degree required; Bachelor degree preferred · 3 years sales or customer service/administration experience in a manufacturing or retail environment. · Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills · Excellent listening skills along with the ability to ask probing questions, comprehending customer concerns and overcoming objections. · Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast paced working environment. · Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel), SAP, and ability to type a minimum of 45-50 words per minute.
