Humera is looking for an Accounting Clerk for our client located in Wayzata, MN. This is a contract position, ending in September.
Our client provides food, agriculture, financial and industrial products and is committed to feeding the world in a responsible way, reducing environmental impact and improving the communities where we live and work.
    40% Daily - Barge Advance Payments -
  • Receive FedEx packages with barge advance invoice and Bill of Ladings
  • Confirm all payment price, grades, discounts and issue payment in Lynx
  • Initiate Wire Transfer payment in Treasury system
  • Clear Wire Transfer in JDE

  • 20% Accounts Receivable
  • Daily review of AR accounts as well as managing timely collection
  • Involves working with the customers and being able to analyze differences in settlements
  • Specific aging and accounts are split up amoung the team

    15% Open Clearing Items
  • Accountable for a specific section of balance sheet.
  • Set timeframe to resolve and solve balances not clearing

    15% Back-up Key Daily Processes
  • Gulf barge Unloads and settlements
  • Sending official weight certs to shipper
  • Final invoices - issue payment

    10% Misc Projects as needed
  • Please be advised that this may include general administrative duties such as filing

    Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education Required: High School/GED
  • Strong communication skills/ability to communicate with multiple levels
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Detail oriented and able to multi task
  • Able to work independently and prioritize
  • Able to work with complex processes and systems

    Preferred experience:
  • 2+ years in related Accounting/Finance/or Merchandising.
  • Or if the individual is new college graduate
