Join us as a Sr. Merchandising Innovation Strategist - Digital Product Strategy & DesignSolve complex merchandising and/ or enterprise problems that create new customer and business value. Collaborate with business partners to reframe the problem, explore new possibilities and activate human centric experiences. Practice a systematic, iterative, and evidence-based approach that leverages methods adopted from agile, lean innovation, design thinking and strategy to manage risk. Apply appropriate depth and balance of intuition and analysis for the maturity of a projects.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Emphasis on research and developing new digital strategies, products and customer experiences
  • Emphasis on design of the UX and CX; visual design; web and mobile application development; digital prototypes
  • Explore strategic possibilities: create new value propositions, e.g. design concepts, solutions and experiences, form strategies;
  • Conduct lean experiments: assess risks; design and execute experiments; measure customer behaviors and (in)validate hypothesis in search of problem/ solution fit AND/ OR product/ market fit.
  • (In)validate strategy: conduct definitive experiments; evaluate the organization's ability to build, launch, and scale proof of concepts, while working with internal and external partners to fill feasibility gaps in technology or other required capabilities.
  • Clear and concise communication of data, insights beliefs and bets to the project team and stake holders in compelling stories based on evidence collected from research, lean experiments, market sizing, business modeling, and data analytics.
  • Coordinate with internal and external resources where appropriate to maximize existing work and expertise
  • Provide thought leadership, mentoring and coaching to team members
Minimum Requirements:
  • Eight years of experience
  • BA degree required; advanced degree preferred or relevant equivalent experience in experience design, business, data, or research
  • Several examples of successfully launched, engaging customer experiences, products and/ or services
  • Demonstrated ability to support and or/ lead aspects of the design of large and complex systems of interactions
  • Demonstrated ability to design build and execute lean experiments
  • Ability to think strategically about user needs, market dynamics, and business impact
  • An expert in creating quality deliverables using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, Principal, Keynote, PowerPoint, Excel, or other visualization tools.
  • Known for attention to details, and the ability to communicate effectively and influence senior leaders throughout the organization
  • Experience with the application of creative & innovative problem solving approaches, e.g. design thinking, lean strategy, business model innovation
  • Flexible and resourceful; willing to enthusiastically flex work and tasks to what is needed to move work forward regardless of formal expertise or background
  • Advanced proficiency in digital strategy, product development and customer experience design
  • Relevant product strategy, product development and customer experience design experience
  • Demonstrated product strategy and product design and developments capabilities
  • An expert understanding of current digital technologies and their application to user experiences
  • Basic understanding of HTML
  • Basic knowledge of analytics and how to quantify problem solution and/ or product market fit
  • Competency in one or more design software applications, e.g.Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Sketch
  • Competency in one or more web app development applications, e.g. Proto IO, InVision, Axure
