Position purpose: To efficiently produce final and sub-assemblies which meet our quality requirements in a cost-effective and timely manner. Job requires assembly of complex assemblies.
Principal duties and responsibilities: 1) Builds, tests and repairs miscellaneous products using blueprints, sketches or written instructions. 2) Maintains required work efficiency and productivity at work stations/assembly lines as directed. 3) Monitors daily quality of assemblies and communicates any discrepancies; participates in problem solving. 4) Operates assembly and packaging machines. 5) Ability to Operate forklift, desirable. 6) Maintains routine housekeeping practices ensuring all OSHA requirements are being met. 7) Responsible to see that the highest level of quality work is being produced. 8) Maintains accurate labor entry, w/o, setup, inventory and quality records. 9) Performs other duties as assigned. 10) Performs setups, does routine maintenance and repairs assembly and packaging equipment. 11) Performs shipping and receiving duties as assigned. 12) Performs training as assigned.
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to work from operation layouts, blueprints and written instructions.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
IN TERMS OF AN 8-HOUR WORKDAY, "OCCASIONALLY" MEANS 1-33%, "FREQUENTLY" MEANS 34 TO 66% OF THE TIME AND "CONTINUOUS" MEANS 67-100% OF THE TIME.
IN AN 8 HOUR WORKDAY EMPLOYEE MUST BE ABLE TO SIT 1 HOUR, STAND 3 HOURS. POSITION REQUIRES FREQUENT BENDING AND STOOPING, OCCASIONAL USE OF FIXED OR PORTABLE STAIRS, CROUCHING AND KNEELING AND REACHING ABOVE THE SHOULDER. EMPLOYEE MUST OCCASIONALLY LIFT AND LOAD UP TO 40 LBS. OR GREATER. THE POSITION REQUIRES FREQUENT REPETITIVE ELBOW MOVEMENTS AND SIMPLE GRASPING AND FINE MANIPULATION WITH BOTH HANDS.
