Humera is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist for our client in Downtown Minneapolis. Our client is an is an Fortune 100 law firm with offices located throughout the U.S., and offices in Asia and the UK. This is a long term contract opportunity!

Join our human resources team by providing full life-cycle recruiting to fill paraprofessional, administrative and operations professional positions across the firm's US-based office locations. To be successful, you must be customer service oriented, as you will be responsible for creating a positive candidate experience and partnering collaboratively with hiring managers in order to hire high performing employees for our firm.
  • Deliver Full Life-Cycle Recruiting with strong ability to source, screen, interview candidates, prepare candidate for interviews, and close candidates and hiring managers
  • Be the "public face" of the firm during recruiting process to ensure a positive candidate experience from applicant to hire through to the on-boarding process
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitors and recruitment best practices
  • Consult and work collaboratively with hiring managers and recommend strategies for identifying and recruiting active and passive candidates
  • Identify key performance factors to develop sourcing and interviewing criteria
  • Proactively create an applicant pool and talent pipeline by writing/posting job advertisements through social media, job boards, employee referral program, associations, networks and agencies; research and recommend additional strategies as needed
  • Identify and attract candidates through creative sourcing strategies
  • Evaluate applications, complete initial phone interviews to narrow candidate pool and make recommendations to hiring managers to determine top candidates for in-person interviews
  • Coach hiring managers and interviewers on process, procedure, best hiring practices and ensure compliance during the process
  • Create targeted interview questions and guides to best select candidates who will succeed in our firm's culture of high performance
  • Consult with hiring managers to determine final candidate, discuss offer terms and negotiate offers of employment
  • Ensure background, conflict and reference clearances have been completed in accordance with firm policies and procedures; initiate the onboard process for new hires
  • Maintain accurate candidate and requisition records in applicant tracking system, Kenexa's BrassRing
  • Assist with annual and mid-year recruiting metrics, run regular reports to track internal hiring trends and analyze other reports as needed
  • Maintain and build positive relationships with vendors/recruiting agencies. Encourage adherence to the firm's agency management policies
  • Participate in special project work or recruiting initiatives

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field is required
  • A minimum of five years of direct human resources related experience required
  • Three years of direct talent acquisition experience required
  • Demonstrated proficiency with an Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS; preferably Kenexa's BrassRing), Microsoft Word, Excel, and social media and other sourcing methodology
  • Solid working knowledge of broad human resources functional areas including strong knowledge of federal and applicable state employment laws
  • Strong client focus, ownership of work, motivation and drive for results
  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills
  • Experience or knowledge of recruiting for IT positions is preferred
