Invites applications for position of FINANCE OFFICER
This full-time position performs advanced administrative and professional accounting work. Duties include preparation of financial analyses and reports, analyzing accounting transactions and departmental accounts, reconciliation of accounts to bank statements, monitoring investment performance and fund balances, preparing monthly financial statements, assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and capital improvement program, preparing the bi-weekly payroll, and preparing audit work papers and coordinating with independent auditors. Requires a high degree of confidentiality and provides high quality services to elected officials, other departments, and the public. The salary range for 2017 is $51,534 to $73,620, depending upon qualifications, and includes an excellent benefit package. Minimum qualifications require a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance related field; three years accounting, payroll, and/or auditing experience; proficiency operating a computer; effective communication and presentation skills; and satisfactorily complete a background investigation.
