Walk-In Assembler Doherty Staffing Solutions is currently hiring a 2nd shift Walk-In Assembler to work in a manufacturing facility in Hudson, WI. As a 2nd shift Walk-In Assembler, you will be working a Monday-Thursday schedule, with the hours of 3:30pm-2:00am. The compensation for this position is $16.00 per hour. There is also the potential to receive a $500.00 retention bonus! Walk-In Assembler Duties and Responsibilities The Walk-In Assembler is responsible for: · Reading blueprints and assembly instructions · Measuring distances for placement of components with subassemblies · Using hand tools to drill holes and perform other modifications · Assembling walk-in sections for foaming, including those that contain wood pieces, special locks and strikes, cut-outs, ramps, etc. · Cleaning out all excess foam from the foamed sections · Determining appropriate information labels based on blueprints or assembly instructions and placing them on completed sections · Cleaning foreign materials from the rails and pallets · Checking for defects in component parts and reporting them to the supervisor · Performing housekeeping around work area

Walk-In Assembler Requirements The Walk-In Assembler requires the following: · Pre-employment screening, including a drug test and background check · The ability to demonstrate basic math skills to be used in the workplace · Skill in reading and interpreting floor plans, blueprints and assembly instructions · Skill in manipulating and interpreting a tape measure · Skill in using small hand and power tools · Ability to comprehend and follow work instructions and company policies · Ability to communicate with others in a professional and productive manner · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently · Ability to grasp and manipulate small parts and hand tools · Ability to work overtime, when required
