As Senior Manager of External Financial Reporting, you'll be responsible for managing key aspects of Target Corporation's external financial reporting, providing accounting consultation to key partners throughout the organization and establishing company-wide accounting policies as follows:

·Demonstrating a strong understanding of current technical accounting regulations

·Keeping current on potential changes in technical accounting guidance and working with key partners to evaluate the implications

·Providing accounting consultation on a wide variety of topics, including the assessment of potential variable interest entities

·Documenting accounting conclusions in a clear and concise manner

·Preparing the statement of cash flows

·Managing new revenue recognition standard implementation

·Conducting special projects as needed by senior finance leadership

·Reviewing key financial disclosures in the Forms 10-K and 10-Q

·This role will report to the Director of External Financial Reporting and will have significant exposure to leaders throughout the organization

·This person will closely collaborate with Merchandise Finance, Marketing Finance, Tax, Business Development, Internal Financial Reporting and many other areas

Requirements

·4-year college degree in Accounting; CPA

·Minimum 6-8 years of previous accounting experience

·Big 4 audit experience with large, public companies strongly preferred

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·Demonstrated team leadership experience with strong ability to manage team priorities

·Demonstrated successful project management experience, including the ability to coordinate and enable new initiatives or processes

·Ability to build key working relationships and establish partnerships within the team and across functions

·Strong technical accounting foundation and well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills
