Use your skills, experience and talents to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals.  As the leader of our Digital Advertising business tools and analytics, you'll take the lead on building our financial accountability and analytics resources to fuel effective marketing and business decisions.   • Transform financial and marketing accountability, analytical decision making, and reporting for our Target Guest Access and Bullseye Marketplace businesses, as well as our Always-On digital marketing initiatives
  • Develop tools, methods and reports to meet core stakeholder needs for analytics, reporting, and insights.¬† Examples include:
    • Enterprise Leadership - Objective/Key Results (i.e., OKRs)
    • Finance - P&L and other financial performance reporting
    • Bullseye Trading Desk - Diagnostic tools to enable automated media and advertising decisions (win/loss reporting, media cost, audience reach, et al)
    • Product Owners - Support testing, including testing framework and design, methodology, capturing results and identification of best practices, provide business case support, and financial performance reporting
    • Publishers - Investment and key performance insights
    • Marketing - Investment and performance (i.e. store/online traffic, sales, ROAS)
    • Vendors - Investment and performance (i.e. store/online traffic, sales, ROAS)
  • Support myriad business leads with analytical tools, reporting and insights focused on Financial, Ad Delivery, Compliance and Marketing Performance
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define metrics and KPIs
    • Collaborate with technology teams to implement tools for data management, data visualization and analysis
    • Develop quantitative analysis and modeling to support decision making
    • Create and maintain reporting, forecasting models, and dashboards to communicate and manage the marketplace
    • Forecast media inventory availability, sell through, employing statistical analysis and modeling
    • Develop bid and pricing models to reduce expense, advance ad delivery and increase ad effectiveness
  • Analytics lead for Digital Advertising products, illuminate sales and margin growth; ensuring accurate reporting of total investments, margin, trends, and marketing KPIs
  • Drive innovation, within analytics and insights, to improve operational efficiency, make more effective and timely decisions and grow our respective businesses
  • Develop self-service, automated tools for reporting, data visualization and to enable business decisions
  • Lead competitive analysis and benchmarking to ensure Digital Advertising businesses and the products they produce remain true to the Target Brand, business goals, and our position in the market
  • Timely and persistent communication of business intelligence, financial and marketing effectiveness metrics and insights to executive team and core stakeholders
Requirements:
  • B.S. and/or B.A. (4 years); Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or Technology fields preferred
  • 8+ years in data driven and analytical roles
  • 4+ financial performance and modeling experience
  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing and/or ad tech
  • 3+ years of experience effectively leading, managing and developing people
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to relay a data driven narrative
  • Strong mathematical, statistical and analytical skills
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization/team
  • Experience with agile product development teams
  • Experience providing subject matter expertise to sr. leadership and peer groups
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Understanding of data acquisition, warehousing and ETL is a plus
  • Knowledge of analytical and data visualization tools (Excel, Access, Domo, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, SAS and/or other business analytics software preferred
  • Automated media technology experience (DSP/SSP/SEM, Ad Serving) is a plus
