Our client is looking to fill a 2nd Shift in Urbandale, Iowa.

The CNC Machinist is responsible for CNC machine operations, quality and control/inspections.

Work schedule is Monday – Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:30 am. OT as necessary.


  • Capable of operating CNC Machines.
  • Ability to assemble equipment; use of basic precision measuring tools.
  • Accurately determine specifications for high precision parts
  • Perform testing and quality inspections in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of all equipment utilized in operations.
  • Meet production quotas for machined parts.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.

  • Machinist diploma and or Degree in tool and Die.
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints.
  • Minimum three years of CNC operations experience.
  • Previous experience in machine shop environment.
  • Ability to perform math skills to perform machine programming.
  • Aptitude to read and understand blue prints.
  • Working knowledge of grinder operations and/or aptitude to learn.
  • Experience in trouble-shooting machinery and mechanical systems
  • Understanding of safety regulations for machine operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing .
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically.

  • Must furnish own tools and secured tool box.
