Commercial Building Engineer
Pro Staff is looking for an experience Commercial building engineer to join the property management team for a Real Estate company.Commercial Building Engineer assists with all aspects of the property’s maintenance including the custodial, predictive and preventative maintenance, corrective, deferred and emergency services needed. Candidates must have the ability to install, service, replace and repair equipment inside and outside the commercial buildings. HVAC certification, and EPA/CFC certification is required for this position along with 5 years of experience in maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the operations and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, life safety, fire protection, and security systems
Operate, maintain, and repair heating and cooling equipment
Monitor equipment to ensure it is working properly
Performs electrical repair duties such as:changing electric motors and ballasts, hanging light switches and receptacles and replacing light tubes and bulbs
Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as:lavatory stools, urinals, drinking fountains and sinks
Perform general maintenance duties such as: moving furniture and storage files, cleaning specific areas in buildings and grounds
Perform engineering maintenance analysis and repair activities
Ensure that all required inspections remain up-to-date for building operating systems including fire/sprinkler systems, elevators and boilers
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of all work areas
5 years in maintenance experience specifically modern office buildings
EPA / CFC certification and building maintenance certification
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
Willingness to perform all tasks and demonstrate knowledge of work safety habits
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook required
Maintain a valid driver’s’ license and reliable transportation
Able to work on call, extended hours and weekends
Ability to pass a pre- employment drug screen and back ground check
