Luther College, in Decorah, Iowa, is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Regional Admissions Counselor or Assistant Director of Admissions. This position will be responsible for recruitment of students from the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota area, including the identification of prospects, solicitation of inquiries, applications, and enrollment deposits in a manner consistent with departmental and institutional objectives.

This position will physically be located in the greater Minneapolis area, with the candidate working from a home office. Duties will also include interviewing prospective students when on campus and assisting with other admissions-related activities/events as assigned. Extensive travel is required. Candidates must be able to work evenings and weekends when appropriate. Based on the level of experience for the successful candidate, the title will be either Regional Admissions Counselor or Assistant Director.

Candidates should have strong oral and written communication skills, be enthusiastic, goal-oriented, assertive, self-motivated, and capable of representing Luther adequately and appropriately to prospective students and their parents. A bachelor's degree is required, and applicants must have a valid driver's license. Experience in sales, marketing, communication and education is highly desirable. As an Admissions Counselor, one year of relevant post graduate experience is recommended. To be considered for the Assistant Director level, the successful candidate should have a minimum of four years of experience.
