Pro Staff is currently hiring a first shift Printing Supervisor for a temporary to hire opportunity in the Milwaukee area! Candidates must have experience operating and troubleshooting press and printing equipment, recording and reviewing data on production sheets, and performing quality checks for color deficiencies. Additionally, candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, work orders and complete other documentation as needed. We are looking for candidates with great attendance, enthusiasm, and the ability to start immediately!
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance on equipment
Print graphic layers according to visual standards and customer requirements
Reads and follow work orders, flowcharts, work instructions, blueprints and documentation
Pull correct material from inventory including: ink, screens and negatives
Perform a wet inspection to catch any defects before final drying
Perform basic troubleshooting to correct defects
Set up and feeds press machine nad printing machines
Complete quality checks such as ink viscosity, ink thickness and resistance
Identifies color inconsistencies and requests adjustment
Operate UV units and batch oven according to specifications
3-4 years of management and printing experience
Able to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide basic numbers.
Responds promptly to shifts in direction, priorities, and schedules.
Able to apply problem-solving skills
Effectively manages time and priorities to meet deadlines
Demonstrates effective collaboration and teamwork
Able to communicate about work assignments in written and verbal form
High School Diploma or GED required
